Rowing on the South Coast is governed by 3 Associations - In Kent and Sussex we have The Coast Amateur Rowing Association (CARA). West of us are the Hants and Dorset ARA. Devon and Cornwall have the West of England ARA.

Each Association organise their own season of Regattas but each year all 3 compete against each other in the South Coast Championship Regatta, hosted by each of the Associations in turn.

In 2016 it is CARA's turn to host the Championships and Herne Bay have been chosen as the host club.
